Mr. Thomas Winston Morgan

President 

Thomas Winston Morgan brings nearly twenty years’ experience in intercultural education and international management for profit-based and non-profit companies and organizations.Thomas has held leadership positions in intercultural educational operations and initiatives for AFS Intercultural Programs, headquartered in New York, and at AHA Study Abroad/University of Oregon in Portland, Oregon.

Thomas has also held director-level positions at international high tech companies like MusicMatch in San Diego, creator and distributor of streaming digital audio (mp3) and localized music content, Juno Online Services in New York, the nation's third-largest internet service provider, and Microsoft Corporation.

Thomas’ first-hand experience living and working in a variety of intercultural settings has provided him with an understanding of, and commitment to, service, community involvement, and social justice issues, and to advocate for accessibility in intercultural education.

His educational background includes Master’s and Doctoral (ABD) degrees in Germanic Languages and Literatures and International Business. He speaks fluent German, Spanish, and French, and is learning Italian and Arabic. Thomas is also an AFS Returnee (Honduras 1980-1981).

Ms. Arianne Newton

Director of Programs

Arianne Newton is pleased to be part of an organization that works to share with others the transforming experiences of service-learning and cultural exploration. Service is a personal value of hers and she has had the opportunity to develop and lead students of all ages on short and long term domestic and international service programs. Her family has been involved in intercultural exchange programs, and she has worked for numerous study abroad organizations supporting and advising the students, host and home families.

Most recently, Arianne has been involved in the start-up and operation of a non-profit K-12th grade public charter school whose curriculum focus is global studies. As co-founder and Director of Community Development, Arianne led the school in eight years of successful growth. She enjoys being part of creative organizations working to establish positive partnerships and leading special projects.

Arianne has a degree in Graphic Design from the University of San Francisco and The Academy of Art College as well as a degree in Landscape Design. Her professional experience includes work for advertising agencies and computer Graphics software developers. She founded and operated a successful landscape design business for 13 years and has been involved in education as co-founder of Trillium Charter School for the past 10 years.

She enjoys her family, being outside, playing with her dog, meeting new people and traveling every chance she gets.
