"I have often thought that I knew all about service-learning, but the diversity of the participants, programs, etc., as well as the strong cultural integration into the conference made this one of the best conferences that I have ever participated in during my career in higher education!"
-- IPSL 2005 International Conference participant
The International Partnership for Service-Learning and Leadership offers a biennial international conference and periodic workshops and forums in international service-learning and leadership. IPSL also offers consulting and technical assistance services through the AISLE (Associates in International Service-Learning Education) program.
Designed for faculty and administrators who are conducting or designing service-learning programs within the higher education environment, this 3-day workshop provides a broad view of service-learning programs and how intercultural communication concepts and training techniques can be used to prepare students and faculty for service in communities both within the U.S. and internationally. Led by Dr. Martha Merrill, IPSL Dean of Academic Programs, and Margaret D. Pusch, Executive Director of SIETAR USA and Chair of the IPSL Board of Trustees.
