17th National Conference: "Advancing Undergraduate Research: Collaboration and Innovation in a Global Society”

 IPSL and Partners, Universidad de Especialidades Espiritu Santo (UEES) and Central Washington University, recently attended and presented at the 17th National Conference: "Advancing Undergraduate Research: Collaboration and Innovation in a Global Society” hosted by the Council on Undergraduate Research in Tampa, Florida. IPSL/CMSV Masters of International Development and Service Graduate Student, Leondra Fair, also presented in collaboration with IPSL on her research on food security and justice in South Africa. IPSL presented in a total of four presentations on the subject of IPSL's Advocacy Research program. IPSL and UEES Director of the Center for International Education, Andrea Losada, held a workshop on navigating the murky waters of research in an international setting and brainstormed with participants about how best to develop a toolkit to deal with these challenges. The Associate Director of the International Sustainable Development Institute at Central Washington's Office of International Studies and Programs, Matthew Zielsdorf co-presented with IPSL on the still in development Summer Academic Advocacy Research Program that IPSL and CWU is collaborating on together in Tanzania and Vietnam that will be launched Summer 2017.
