Congratulations to Amy, Cassandra, and Ethan!

On behalf of the IPSL Board of Trustees, the IPSL Portland staff and the entire IPSL community worldwide, please accept our heartfelt congratulations on your scholarship award from the Foundation for International Service-Learning (FISL).

Two years ago, FISL and IPSL created a partnership that provides scholarship funding for students who choose to engage in an international service-learning™ experience over a traditional study abroad option. The funds are a mechanism to promote service-learning™ programs (like IPSL) by building on your experiences. Students who are already service-minded individuals receive these award recognitions. In turn, those students pledge to share with IPSL and FISL, in the form of reflective writings, photos and videos, their experiences while they are abroad. Giving back by sharing one's stories is important because others can be touched by the messages and, themselves, can be encouraged to serve others while they are abroad. This is the foundation of any movement to do good in the world, and you are an important part of these positive changes.
