"My service-learning experience was both a highlight and a challenge, yet these challenges gradually became characteristics which made my experience abroad enjoyable and completely unforgettable. I met faculty members who helped ease my transition into the program, students whose curiosity and kindness developed into friendships, and people who allowed me to enter their realities with sincerity and graciousness."
- Antoinette, University of California - San Diego
Trinity University of Asia is located in Quezon City, the former capital of the Philippines and part of Metro Manila, on the island of Luzon. Metro Manila encompasses several key cities in Central Luzon, including: Makati, the center for commerce; Quezon City; Marikina, known for its shoemaking industry; Pasay, where the famous Cultural Center and baywalk are located; and Manila, the key city and center of government, and melting pot of migrants from the rural provinces. Manila draws tourists with its hotels, businesses, national parks, and the President’s home, the Malacanang Palace.
You will live on campus in a dormitory or guest house, giving you the opportunity to meet and make friends with your Filipino classmates. Food is available through a variety of sources, such as canteens and a low-cost student cafeteria on campus or inexpensive restaurants in the area. In some cases, the housing includes a modest kitchen.
