Study Abroad integrated with Volunteer Service Volunter in Ecuador, Volunteer Service Combined with Academic Study

Travel and Excursions that Broaden Your Perspective

Field trips include:

two excursions in Quito
a special cultural and historic tour in the old town of Quito
visiting the various service agencies
and a 3–4 day trip to the Amazon rainforest.

Students may easily travel on their own to rural indigenous villages and handicraft markets, historic cities, the cloud forest, thermal hot springs, and the Andean paramo, among many other sites of interest.

Students specifically interested in exploring the volcanoes or Andes may join university clubs and participate in the outings/climbs with Ecuadorian students. Ecuador offers an array of exciting outdoor activities, including hiking, mountain climbing, rock climbing, and mountain biking, among other sports, which are sure to be enjoyed by outdoor enthusiasts.
