The program is based at the GRINT Centre for Education, a non-profit educational institution, located on the grounds of the Moscow University for the Humanities. Founded in 1992, GRINT is accredited as a Language and Cultural School by the Moscow government Department of Education. You may earn 8 credits for the summer. All courses are taught in English.

Course Offerings

Russian Language

Language studies are strongly recommended. Russian language courses are offered at five levels, from beginning to upper-intermediate, and include grammar, conversation, reading, and writing. Upon arrival, students are tested and placed in an appropriate level. Evaluations are held every 4 weeks for advancement to the next level.

Social Work in Russia

Links your service experience to learning about the institutions of Russian society. Focuses on the major social concerns of contemporary Russia, including the important issues of the transition from past totalitarian control to today’s democratic society.
