Experience Vienna - and Europe - by completing an academic program requirement with one of a variety of NGO or nonprofit  organizations. Together we can customize your program to fit your schedule and budget.

Volunteer placements depend on the students' previous work experience, education, and language proficiency. We will take any special requests into account and arrange a placement accordingly, if possible. 


You can also combine a German language study with volunteering for at least four weeks. We recommend eight weeks for the German course as students must be able to have some knowledge of German before starting the internship. 

Academics

IPSL's partner institution in Austria is a modern language school in central Vienna and offers German classes for all levels, from beginner to advanced. You'll be taught by native speakers and you'll learn to speak, write and read Standard German. The lessons are held in small, international groups with modern teaching methods, so that learning German is fun!

You will practice grammar, vocabulary, and conversation, and together with other students, you will discover the Austrian culture. Through our activities and special interest programs, you will visit the sights in Vienna  and experience the Austrian culture and language in a variety of settings.

There are several courses of study for different interests and proficiency levels. You can learn German in a Standard or Intensive Course, or get private lessons in an Individual Tuition Course. You can prepare for a certified language proficiency diploma or university studies. Whether you want to learn Business German or try a language course with your family - we have the perfect program for you!
